Memory Lane ~VS~ Stolen Moments

Wow so It's been a minute since Ive made a post so I promise that i will try to keep this thing as up to date as i can. Let me first explain the different between memory lane and a stolen moment. Memory lane is self explanatory its that song or scent that reminds you of the past where as a stolen moment is something that feels soooo good at that given moment but your not sure if its going to be around long. Now read these two scenarios and tell me which one would you rather have at the end of the day.


MEMORY LANE: We dated for a couple of years, I still remember the first time we kiss I still laugh at the awkwardness that I felt after you was gone. In the beginning i felt like a kid in a candy store, always on edge but longing for more. As we got serious we begin to move as one, what i did you did and vise verse i swear its like we almost became the same person. Time passed and we got into the groove of things and finally grew into our individual lives, rather it was school, work, or even play. Things heated up a little our fights went from arguments about spending the night to fights about blowing rent money or either of us coming home late. We made huge sacrifices for one another including moving into the same house and even getting joint accounts, just for everything to spiral down hill. We had memorable moments and eventually moved apart-speaking here and there, different scents in the air sent ones mind on a race through memory lane. Every picture, movie, or fight we every had replay in ones mind only to leave a smile or frown on ones face.

STOLEN MOMENT: We met through a friend actually on the way to the club, Ive seen you around before and to my surprise you claim that you have notice me as well. We learn that we have alot in common and we set up a date that was cool for the both of us. I came to your house you drove to the date and i must say that it was one of the best that Ive had in a long time. Days go by and we keep in touch a text here, special picture mail there(lol), a lil convo there but nothing really serious. We go out again and both acknowledge that there are feelings there and as soon as we both say that... POOF its as if we never met. The little time that was spent feels like a life time for someone else but it would never amount to a long term relationship,,,


At the end of the day, do you choose the memory that holds everything that you stand for in a relationship with one person, or do you settle for the blast with multiple stolen moments that you constictly have to repeat because the thrill only last for so long....
